Space Matrix transformed Nestlé’s workplace in Gurugram with an innovative design focused on fostering community, nature integration, and promoting well-being, embodying the company’s brand values and encouraging collaboration.
Nestlé, a household name in food and beverages, faced a challenge familiar to many companies today: designing a workplace that entices employees back to the office. Space Matrix’s solution to Nestlé’s problem wasn’t just a refresh of the paint job; it was a complete transformation that embodied their brand identity and catered to the evolving needs of their workforce.
Instead of the typical office design, We envisioned a workplace that fostered a sense of community and catered to diverse working styles. This space would physically manifest Nestlé’s core principles: Contemplation, Collaboration, Communication, and Concentration (4Cs).
The transformation began at the very entrance. A mesmerising tree-like column, symbolic of Nestlé’s ‘Tree of Life’, greeted employees and visitors alike. This wasn’t just an aesthetic touch; it set the tone for a workplace that embraced nature and growth.
Delving deeper, we encounter the ‘Machan’, a unique feature that extends the work floor like a balcony. Overlooking a stunning triple-height business garden, this space offered a platform for collaboration and a viewing gallery for team activities.
The centrepiece of the redesign was undeniably the business garden. Lush greenery enveloped each work floor, blurring the lines between the indoors and outdoors. This wasn’t just about aesthetics; it was about promoting well-being and mindfulness. The garden doubled as a Town Hall for collaboration, incorporating natural elements for a tranquil atmosphere. Strategically placed at the end of each floor, it offered a variety of seating options – swings and organic-shaped tables – catering to diverse preferences and fostering connection. This design ingenuity encouraged interaction between teams from different departments, sparking conversations that fuel innovation.
Nestlé’s Gurgaon office is a modern workplace that sparks creativity and fosters engagement. This transformation, by Space Matrix, reflects Nestlé’s commitment to building a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and growth. It’s more than just a workplace; it’s a community hub where employees can connect, share ideas, and drive innovation.
