Milwaukee Tool Offices – Melbourne
PTID redesigned Milwaukee Tool’s office in Melbourne, focusing on brand identity through custom joinery, sustainable materials, technology integration, and efficient lighting, creating a modern workspace reflecting the power tool industry.
Amicus embarked on a transformative project to revamp Milwaukee Tool’s head office in Melbourne. The goal was to create a workspace that reflected the brand’s identity, addressed the evolving needs of the power tool industry, and prioritized sustainability.
Working closely with interior designers PTID, we faced several challenges, including the need to design a functional space with numerous meeting rooms and collaborative areas. The selection of materials was carefully considered to reflect Milwaukee’s “Nothing But Heavy Duty” brand ideology. Textured and perforated metals, striking marble, plywood, and polished concrete were used to create a deliberate contrast to the signature red.
Our collaborative approach allowed us to incorporate custom joinery pieces that seamlessly integrated technology, promoting a modern and innovative workspace. Breakout areas were designed to be inviting and inspiring, featuring a harmonious blend of stone and ample natural light.
Despite challenges such as unexpected structural steel and pre-existing mechanical system issues, we successfully navigated the project. We upgraded the mechanical system to be more efficient and environmentally sustainable, and repurposed existing elements to minimize landfill and reduce environmental impact.
The revamped Milwaukee Tools head office stands as a testament to successful collaboration. The new workspace not only reflects the brand’s identity but also caters to the practical needs of their industry.
The upgraded lighting and mechanical elements contribute to the office’s efficiency and positive environmental impact. The thoughtful interior design, with its emphasis on brand presence, custom joinery, sustainability, and technology integration, elevates the overall aesthetic while fostering a conducive work environment.
